Dreamcatchers: Guardians of the Sleeping Spirit
Rooted in Indigenous wisdom and woven with intention, dreamcatchers are sacred talismans traditionally crafted by the Ojibwe people and later embraced by many Native cultures. Their circular frame represents the cycle of life and the sacred hoop of unity, while the intricate web within is designed to filter dreams—allowing only the good to pass through and protecting the sleeper from nightmares.
History & Lore
The Ojibwe legend tells of Asibikaashi, the Spider Woman, who cared for children and the land. As the tribe spread across North America, mothers and grandmothers began weaving dreamcatchers to continue her protection.
Feathers, often suspended from the center, symbolize breath and air, guiding peaceful dreams down to the sleeper below.
Over time, dreamcatchers have become symbols of spiritual guardianship, ancestral connection, and energetic cleansing.
Uses & Benefits
Hang above your bed or in a sacred space to filter dream energy, promoting restful sleep and spiritual clarity.
Use during rituals or moon cycles to set intentions for healing, protection, or emotional release.
Incorporate into your home décor as a reminder of ancestral wisdom, gentle boundaries, and energetic harmony.
How to Use
Place your dreamcatcher where morning light can touch it—sunlight activates its cleansing properties, dissolving any trapped negative energy.
Cleanse periodically with sage smoke, sound bowls, or moonlight, especially after intense emotional experiences or seasonal transitions.
Pair with crystals like Amethyst (for dream recall), Lepidolite (for anxiety relief), or Selenite (for energetic purification) to amplify its effects.

Tiger eye is a chatoyant gemstone that is golden yellow to reddish brown color usually with black stripes, but sometime is pink, blue or red. Chatoyant gems get their name from the French Term œil de chat, which translates to cat’s eye. It’s silky luster and golden color come from the small amounts of iron oxide in the stone and the chatoyancy is present because of the trace amounts of rutile composed within the stone. Although it can be found in all locations of the world, Tiger eye is mostly commonly sourced in the South Africa along the northern Cape province but is also frequently sourced in Namibia, India, Thailand, Australia, Canada, and the United States.
History
This stone has long been attributed to the king of the jungle, giving it the name. The ancient Chinese believed that the tiger eye offered protection against evil and was a direct connection to Tigers. An ancient Chinese practice, Feng-Shui which is used to achieve harmony and balance, the tiger eye was placed in doorways and in rooms where important decisions were made to aid in good fortune and protection. In ancient Egypt, the pharaohs wore the stone to increase their vigor and vitality. This gemstone has been discovered in many Egyptian tombs to help transition the dead into the afterlife and it was commonly believed that wearing a bracelet with the stone would represent the rays of the sun and pay a direct tribute to the sun god, Ra. The ancient Romans would carve them into amulets, talismans and the breastplates of the soldiers, to protect them in battle. During the Middle Ages, tiger eye was worn as a pendant to break wicked spells and ward off evil spirits.
