Metaphysical & Healing Properties

While many of our customers find spiritual and energetic resonance with our crystals, all metaphysical and healing claims are based on traditional and cultural beliefs. These statements have not been evaluated by licensed medical professionals and are not intended to replace medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We do not recommend using crystals as a substitute for conventional medical or psychological treatment and do not claim they cure or heal medical conditions.

Natural Beauty & Authenticity

Our crystal pieces and lamps are naturally formed and carefully extracted. Inclusions, druzy pockets, surface texture, and color variations are part of their authentic character—not flaws. These features reflect the raw beauty and ancient story held within each stone. We honor these natural distinctions and hand-select every piece with care, ensuring quality, integrity, and a touch of magic.

Onyx: The Stone of Strength & Protection

Onyx is a striking variety of Chalcedony, a microcrystalline form of Quartz, traditionally characterized by its distinctive parallel bands. Natural Onyx can occur in shades of black, white, brown, red, orange, and cream, although solid Black Onyx is the variety most commonly recognized in jewelry and metaphysical practices.

In crystal traditions, Onyx is strongly associated with protection, grounding, strength, discipline, confidence, and emotional stability. Its steady energy makes it especially popular for anyone seeking greater focus, resilience, or energetic boundaries.

History & Lore

Onyx has been valued for thousands of years and was used by civilizations including the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans for jewelry, seals, carvings, amulets, and decorative objects.

The name comes from the Greek word “onyx,” meaning fingernail or claw. According to Greek mythology, the goddess Aphrodite's fingernail clippings fell into a river and were transformed into Onyx by the Fates.

Because of its durability and contrasting bands, Onyx became particularly popular for cameos and intaglios, where artisans could carve through different layers to create detailed designs.

Throughout history, Onyx has carried symbolism involving strength, protection, courage, self-control, and perseverance.

Where It's Found

Onyx and related banded Chalcedony occur in several regions around the world, including:
