Metaphysical & Healing Properties

While many of our customers find spiritual and energetic resonance with our crystals, all metaphysical and healing claims are based on traditional and cultural beliefs. These statements have not been evaluated by licensed medical professionals and are not intended to replace medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We do not recommend using crystals as a substitute for conventional medical or psychological treatment and do not claim they cure or heal medical conditions.

Natural Beauty & Authenticity

Our crystal pieces and lamps are naturally formed and carefully extracted. Inclusions, druzy pockets, surface texture, and color variations are part of their authentic character—not flaws. These features reflect the raw beauty and ancient story held within each stone. We honor these natural distinctions and hand-select every piece with care, ensuring quality, integrity, and a touch of magic.

Selenite: The Stone of Purification & Divine Light

Selenite is a luminous variety of gypsum known for its pearly white, translucent appearance and beautiful natural glow. It often forms in long, fibrous crystals that reflect light with a soft, silky shimmer. The name Selenite comes from Selene, the ancient Greek goddess of the Moon, reflecting the stone's moonlike radiance.

Known as a stone of purification, spiritual clarity, peace, and energetic cleansing, Selenite is believed to clear unwanted energy while encouraging calm, balance, and higher awareness. It is one of the most popular crystals for cleansing sacred spaces and other stones.

Selenite is especially meaningful for anyone seeking peace, clarity, spiritual connection, purification, and uplifting energy.

History & Lore

The name Selenite comes from the Greek word selēnē, meaning “Moon,” and is connected to Selene, the Greek goddess and personification of the Moon.

Throughout history, transparent gypsum has been used for decorative purposes and even as window material because thin sheets can allow light to pass through.

In modern metaphysical traditions, Selenite has become strongly associated with purification, divine light, spiritual awareness, angelic connection, and energetic cleansing.

Its bright, luminous appearance has also made it a symbol of clarity, peace, and illumination.

Where It's Found

Gypsum and Selenite occur in many regions around the world, including:

Morocco – Popular source of fibrous gypsum commonly sold as Selenite
Mexico – Famous for enormous transparent Selenite crystals
United States – Significant deposits in Oklahoma, Utah, New Mexico & other areas
Australia – Gypsum and Selenite formations
Greece – Historic gypsum deposits

One of the world's most extraordinary occurrences is the Cave of the Crystals in Naica, Mexico, where enormous Selenite crystals formed under unique underground conditions.

Many white, fibrous pieces sold commercially as Selenite are technically a variety of gypsum commonly known as Satin Spar.

Cleaning: Gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth
Avoid Water: Do not soak or rinse Selenite, as gypsum is water-sensitive and can gradually dissolve or become damaged
Avoid: Harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and rough handling
Energetic Cleansing: Smoke, sound, moonlight, or intention
Storage: Store separately from harder stones to prevent scratching

Handle Selenite towers, wands, bowls, and carvings carefully, as thin edges and fibrous surfaces can be fragile.
