Fluorite—also known as the “Genius Stone” or “Stone of Brilliance”—is a calcium fluoride halide mineral prized for its vibrant colors, geometric structure, and powerful energetic properties. Fluorite has been revered since antiquity. Ancient Chinese artisans carved it into protective amulets and drinkware—often using green Fluorite as a substitute for Jade. Numerous Fluorite artifacts were uncovered in Pompeii, attesting to its cultural significance.

The first written record of Fluorite appeared in 1530 by German scientist Georgius Agricola, who noted its usefulness in smelting. In 1797, Carlo Antonio Galeani Napione formally named the mineral. By 1852, Fluorite gave rise to the term fluorescence, due to its radiant glow under UV light—a phenomenon still celebrated in metaphysical circles today.
