Axolotl & Salamander Symbolism
🦎 Axolotl – known scientifically for its extraordinary ability to regenerate certain body structures, the axolotl has become a meaningful modern symbol of regeneration, adaptability, resilience, renewal, and the ability to rebuild.
🔥 Salamander – salamanders have appeared in folklore and symbolism connected with fire, transformation, survival, renewal, and resilience. Meanings vary across cultures and traditions.
Combined with Obsidian, these symbols create a powerful reminder that transformation doesn't always mean returning to who you were before—it can mean rebuilding yourself into someone new.
About Obsidian
Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed when silica-rich lava cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth. Its volcanic origins make it especially meaningful in modern metaphysical traditions centered around transformation, grounding, protection, strength, and release.
Its deep black, glass-like appearance also makes each Axolotl / Salamander carving a bold and distinctive collectible.
