Mangano Calcite, also called Manganocalcite or Manganoan Calcite, is a manganese-bearing variety of Calcite (CaCO₃). Its color typically ranges from very pale blush and pastel pink to richer rosy shades, with variations influenced by manganese content and other natural characteristics within the material.
Some Mangano Calcite specimens display beautiful fluorescence under ultraviolet light, sometimes glowing pink, red, or orange-red depending on their composition and the wavelength of UV light used. Fluorescence varies naturally and should not be expected to appear identically in every piece.
