Frequently called the “Stone of Amplification,” Calcite is one of the most abundant and dynamic minerals on Earth. Its name originates from the Latin word calx (meaning lime), later adapted into German as Calcit. This semiprecious mineral can be found around the globe, with significant deposits in the United States, Brazil, Iceland, Romania, Belgium, Peru, and Britain. While clear to milky white Calcite is common, it naturally forms in an impressive range of colors including pink, blue, green, orange, red, and brown—each with its own energetic expression.

History
